Learn to paint in this negative space painting class, where you can complete your very own artwork. Paint Your World-negative space painting is suitable for beginners or anyone wanting to have fun with paint. Held at the beautiful Paint Your World artist studio in Mornington.
Can't draw, paint etc... no worries,... My motto is “Learn to Paint, Anyone Can” no skills are required.
This is a fabulous fun filled day painting this popular negative space style of artwork. You can create your own theme - birds, flowers, trees, fish, abstract, anything really, you will be shown how to lay the paint out in layers on canvas, step-by-step, to create your artwork. You also have the freedom to choose your colour scheme and to create your own personal style in this workshop. This enables everyone to create their very own unique and individual painting. I make it very easy for you to follow along.
My teaching style is step by step, in a relaxed, nurturing and non-judgmental environment, this assists to make it easy for everyone to follow along ensuring you complete your work on the day.

Michele Ling is a contemporary artist and creative facilitator based on the Mornington Peninsula. She’s known for her vibrant acrylics and mixed‑media works that radiate colour, joy, and emotional warmth. With over 20 years of experience teaching art to children and adults, Michele inspires confidence and creativity through her inclusive workshops and community events. Her motto, “Learn to Paint — Anyone Can,” reflects her belief that art is for everyone.

Michele Ling is a contemporary Artist based on the Mornington Peninsula, her mission is to inspire, educate & uplift people through art. Her personal belief is that art & colour play an important role in our lives. Greatly influenced by colour, her art generates feelings of love, light & joy. She enjoys the flexibility of painting with acrylics, using texture, collage, and exploring various mixed media works.
Having worked with art for over 20 years, including teaching art to various groups of children & adults. Her painting styles are numerous and include fine detailed work to creative and colourful abstracts.
A passionate art tutor, Michele holds regular classes and workshops in Mornington, classes are also available online and a mobile service is available for those in need. Her motto is "Learn to Paint, Anyone Can".
Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
- A refund can be requested 14 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$20.00 applies.
- A transfer can be requested 5 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
- A credit note can be requested 5 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.
We recommend the refund upgrade option upon checkout in case you’re not able to attend the class. Learn more about refund upgrade option.
Terms & Conditions
- Gift Vouchers, No-Shows and Late Cancellations are non-refundable nor are they available for rescheduling
- If you miss a class, there are no refunds and no make-up classes
- If you cancel your booking and are owed a refund, this will be issued minus the booking fee
- Insurance is available via We Teach Me upon booking checkout, you may then be eligible for a refund, (check conditions) please contact We Teach Me
- If you need to reschedule your booking, please advise Paint Your World. With sufficient notice you may then transfer your booking to another date, depending on circumstances, refunds will be considered by request, minus an admin fee
- Any class cancelled by Paint Your World, booked & paid, is entitled to a full refund
- If a class is rescheduled you will be offered a place to the rescheduled date
