Food Handlers Course (SITXFSA005 – Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety)
This accredited course is designed for individuals working in the hospitality industry who handle food or food contact surfaces such as cutlery, crockery, and equipment. A food handler may be involved in preparing, cooking, serving, packing, displaying, transporting, storing, processing, or delivering food.
Under Australian Food Safety Standard 3.2.2A – Food Safety Practices and General Requirements, all food handlers and their supervisors must have appropriate food safety and hygiene skills relevant to their duties. This course ensures you meet these legal obligations and maintain safe food handling practices.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for SITXFSA005 – Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety. Certificates are issued electronically (via noreply@myequals.net) and may take up to 10 working days to process.
Important Information
- A good understanding of spoken and written English is required.
- This course is suitable for hospitality settings such as restaurants, cafés, and small food businesses.
- Not suitable for health or aged care sectors (e.g., hospitals or residential care facilities).
