Printmaking is an exciting and fun artform that is easy to learn, but offers a huge variety of outcomes.   

This relaxed 6-week evening class with experienced tutor and artist Julie Moselen will provide an introduction to printmaking using pattern as its focus. We will cover a number of printmaking processes which will include relief prints and woodcuts.  Great for beginners or those with some experience wanting to experiment further.

  • You will create a body of work using a variety of printmaking techniques, including relief and wood block printing.

  • Through the use of papers, inks, and mediums, you will develop skills in wood block printing.

Your Teacher

Julie Moselen completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Metalcraft and Jewellery Design before moving to Aotearoa in 1998 and founding her own contemporary jewellery studio. Over the following decades she expanded her practice to encompass printmaking, painting and stone-carving, before settling on sculpture.

This class was awesome. Julie has a great teaching style which encourages experimentation, provides encouragement and knowledge on how to get the best out of what you're doing. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to get their foot in the door of the printmaking world.

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 7 days before the workshop commences results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 7 days of the workshop commencement date results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 30% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking. Part Payment options are available at time of booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 10 days before the workshop commences results in a full refund of amount paid MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 10 days or on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given. You may nominate someone else to take your place before the class starts.
