Ever wondered how a whip creates that iconic crack? Join whip artist Anita Flik for an exciting introduction to the art, science, and skill of whip cracking. Designed for complete beginners, this hands-on workshop explores how whips move through space, what makes them crack, and how to use them safely and confidently.
You'll learn the fundamentals of whip anatomy and care, develop an understanding of whip safety, and be introduced to a range of foundational cracks, including cattleman's cracks, overheads, flicks, and cutbacks. As your confidence grows, you'll begin exploring self-targeting techniques, learning how to control where the crack happens and how this knowledge can be applied to more advanced skills.
Whether you're interested in performance, skill development, or simply trying something new, this workshop offers a fun and accessible introduction to a unique circus discipline.
