Oil Painting – with Jemma Cakebread (Term)
what students are saying
In this class Jemma will demonstrate her tonal realist approach to oil painting and will help class members create the own works using this technique.
This class aims to provide a nurturing environment to celebrate the joy of being creative, to provide the tools and confidence to foster continued artistic improvement and to encourage an interest in time honoured oil painting techniques.
This class is suitable for oil painters at all levels of experience.

Your Teacher
Jemma Cakebread is a Melbourne based artist currently working with oil painting and textiles. She drew on everything from books to walls as a kid and kept it up to adulthood, eventually completing further education in the arts against careers advice at highschool. She listens to true crime podcasts while she paints, dislikes going to her own exhibition openings and takes terrible care of her paintbrushes.
