Food Safety Supervisor Course
This intensive one-day accredited Food Safety Supervisor course covers SITXFSA006 - Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices. Under Australian regulations, every food business must have a designated Food Safety Supervisor. The course equips hospitality professionals with the skills and knowledge required to supervise safe food handling practices across food service operations.
As part of the training and assessment, participants will also engage in on-site observations at operational food premises.
Course Overview
- Safe food handling during storage, preparation, display, service and disposal.
- Designed for hospitality workers who directly handle food in their daily responsibilities.
- Successful participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for SITXFSA006.
Important Notes
- If you have not completed SITXFSA005 - Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety, it is highly recommended to complete it before undertaking SITXFSA006.
- SITXFSA005 supports understanding of personal hygiene, contamination prevention and basic food safety, helping participants apply the more advanced requirements of SITXFSA006.
- This course is designed for the hospitality sector, such as restaurants, cafes and small food businesses. Health sector environments such as childcare or aged care may require different unit codes.
- Certificates may take up to ten working days to be processed.
