This intensive one-day accredited Food Safety Supervisor course covers SITXFSA006 - Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices. Under Australian regulations, every food business must have a designated Food Safety Supervisor, and this training equips hospitality professionals with the skills and knowledge required to supervise safe food handling across food service operations.

Participants will learn how to ensure food is handled safely during storage, preparation, display, service and disposal. As part of the training and assessment, participants may also engage in on-site observations at operational food premises.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for SITXFSA006 - Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices. Certificates may take up to ten working days to be processed.

Important Notes

  • If you have not completed SITXFSA005 - Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety, it is highly recommended that you complete it before undertaking SITXFSA006.
  • This course is designed for the hospitality sector, including restaurants, cafes and small food businesses.
  • If you require training for the health sector, such as childcare or aged care, check the relevant health sector unit codes as they differ from hospitality units.
