Food Handlers Hospitality Course
This accredited face-to-face Food Handlers course covers SITXFSA005 - Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety for people working with food in the hospitality industry.
A food handler is anyone who works in a food business and handles food or food contact surfaces, including cutlery, crockery, equipment, preparation areas, packing, displaying, transporting, storing, serving, processing or delivering food.
Under Australian Food Safety Standard 3.2.2A, food handlers and supervisors must have the skills and knowledge required to handle food safely and hygienically in their workplace.
Important Information
- A good understanding of spoken and written English is required to successfully complete this course.
- This course is designed for hospitality businesses such as restaurants, cafes and small food businesses.
- It is not suitable for health or aged care settings such as hospitals or residential care facilities.
Certification
- Successful participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for SITXFSA005 - Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety.
- Certificates are issued electronically and may take up to 10 working days to be processed.
- Students must provide a valid USI to receive their certificate.
