Fearless Sketchbooking
Have you ever thought to yourself:
'I'm scared to use my sketchbook because what if I mess up?'
or
'What if I waste paper in my sketchbook drawing something silly?'
or
'What do I even do in my sketchbook?!'
… or maybe you just want to start sketchbooking and need help knowing where to start?
In this workshop series I will take you through my tips and tricks on how to use a sketchbook fearlessly. I use sketchbooks every day- as a way to develop ideas, pass the time, regulate my emotions, and play! Sketchbooking is such a huge part of my art practice that I have boxes of sketchbooks in my shed as well as shelves full of them in my studio.
In this 3 week course I will go over different activities and methods to fill your sketchbook, as well as sending you home with ‘homework’ to work in between classes. I will show you different materials and methods like pastels, charcoals, coloured pencils, inks, collaging, and watercolours. You'll get to experiment and play to find which materials you enjoy using the most.
All materials are provided, including sketchbooks, but you can opt to bring your own sketchbook if you prefer (please choose the correct ticket if you would rather bring your own sketchbook).
By the end of the 3 weeks you will have finished your sketchbook (or almost) and have more confidence in your sketchbooking practice.
