As the owner and senior stylist at Marcia Gibsons in Brisbane, he has built a reputation for creating an inclusive, progressive salon environment while consistently delivering high-level results across all hair types.
Renowned for his expertise in textured hair, from loose waves through to tight coils, Dave challenges traditional thinking around curl work, pushing stylists to step beyond outdated formulas and into a more intuitive, craft-driven approach.
His work isn’t about controlling texture, it’s about understanding it, respecting it, and elevating it. On stage, Dave brings raw honesty, real salon experience, and a no-filter approach to education. He is passionate about empowering stylists to think differently, build confidence behind the chair, and create spaces that truly reflect diversity and individuality within the industry.
